My first novel, Initiated to Kill has been published by Start Publishing, and currently with Simon & Schuster.
Set in Spain, this is the first book in the Annabella Cordova series, introducing Annabella and Andres Valero.
A historical, psychological thriller that readers are constantly taken between 19thcentury London, and 2016 Spain.
Now, you may read the blurb and think this is just another Jack the Ripper story.
I hope you may be pleasantly surprised by how I portray the man that could have been potentially, Jack the Ripper.
I build a narrative based on the psychological profile and theory of Patricia Cornwall. In her book ‘Portrait of a Killer’, she delves into the life of a troubled artist that wanders the gloomy streets of Whitechapel.
Here, I bring in a conspiracy theory that an artist meets some powerful and influential men that aim to create chaos for their own destructive purposes.
This organization of men sees something within this artist, opening the door to his dark desires. And instead of being the puppet in their plans, this artist’s sadistic tendencies are unleashed.
In 2016, a female student disappears every seven days. On the sixth day, Andres Valero, the troubled detective who wrestles with his own dark past, starts investigating the case when a gruesome package arrives at the police station.
Only recently returning from forced leave, and still carrying horrific memories, these disappearances hit too close to home for Andres.
Annabella unwittingly becomes involved when her flat mate is one of the missing girls. However, Annabella is unaware how close she really is to the case.
Her deafness, because of a childhood tragedy, is her strength. Her instinctive and trained skills in reading body language and facial expressions compromises her own safety, and causes Andres to question everything he knows.
So, how does the past and present connect to each other?
