Freemasons – A Secret Society or a Misunderstood Organisation?

Once a secret society, persecuted by the Nazis; lodges burned, and members imprisoned along with the Jews.

However, the Freemasons were once influential men, protectors of the crown. Initiates right up to Master Masons were men of means or served a national purpose.

Their background stems all the way back to the days Solomon’s Temple was built. Their initiation plays out vital scenes of historical significance to what happened to Hiram Abiff, the grand architect of Solomon’s Temple. Supposedly taking valuable secrets to his grave that others desperately sought to uncover.

Nowadays, Freemasons are not so secret, with lodges scattered about welcoming all those with an open mind and a want for community.

However, conspiracy theories revolve around that some still seek to regain the power they lost. Allegedly, a majority of American presidents were initiated as Freemasons, and in a large part responsible in the construction of many American monuments and buildings. Potentially, to this day, members still play an influential role in decision making globally.

Dan Brown in the Da Vinci Codeexplored such theories, and their connection with the so-called Illuminati.

In my first Annabella Cordova novel, Initiated to Kill, Freemasons once again potentially play a pivotal role in one of the most infamous string of murders; the culprit (or culprits) never discovered.

Initiated to Kill takes you on a convoluted plot from 19thcentury London, to 2016 Spain where once again a powerful organization seeks to regain the power they lost, and initiates a man once again to kill.
