A Brazilian healer known as Arigo was inundated with patients, not only due to his amazing ability to accurately diagnose and treat his patients, supposedly when under some sort of trance, he performed surgeries that were life-saving.
A patient was confronted by Arigo during the night, falling unconscious, and waking to his pyjamas being bloodied and slashed. Arigo had no memory of the confrontation, or surgery which turned out to be a successful removal of a tumour. No one could explain his abilities, and the Catholic church and medical establishment detested his medical abilities, encouraging him to be jailed due to him practising without a license, even though it appeared he performed what some could only describe as a miracle.
